Suthikarn Meechan is a non-resident research fellow at the Institute for Indo-Pacific Affairs in Christchurch, and is an Associate Professor at the College of Politics and Governance, Mahasarakham University in Thailand. She completed her PhD in Political Science at the University of Canterbury and is a currently a visiting fellow in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at UC. Her research interests focus on local politics, elections, and political transformation in Thailand and also politics in the Lao PDR.
