Professor Ramesh Thakur is Emeritus Professor in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University in Canberra. He is also a senior research fellow at the Toda Institute and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of International Affairs. He has held academic appointments in Fiji, New Zealand, Canada and Australia and has been a consultant to the Australian NZ, and Norwegian governments on arms control, disarmament and international security issues.
