Ashalyna Noa is studying towards a PhD at the Macmillan Brown Centre for Pacific Studies, University of Canterbury. Her thesis will analyse China and New Zealand's foreign aid and soft power in the Pacific. Ashalyna also works at the University of Canterbury as Kaiarahi Pasifika on the Pacific Development Team, supporting the implementation of the UC Pasifika Strategy across various Colleges. She is also passionate about working with Pacific communities, supportingĀ organisations such as P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A Inc, a national NGO supporting Pasifika women in Aotearoa New Zealand.
